Agricultura Judetului DOLJ
Situat in zona de sud-vest a Romaniei, judetul Dolj se intinde intre
40000' - 44030' latitudine
nordica si 22000' - 23000' longitudine estica, fiind strabatut
de la nord la sud de raul Jiu.
Judetul Dolj are o suprafata de 7.414 kmp, invecinandu-se cu Gorj si Valcea la nord, Olt la est si Mehedinti la vest,
iar la sud fluviul Dunarea formeaza frontiera cu Bulgaria. Relieful este dispus in amfiteatru, treapta inalta
constituind-o unele prelungiri sudice ale Podisului Getic, urmeaza apoi Campia Olteniei, dominanta ca suprafata.
Altitudinile cele mai mici se gasesc in Lunca Dunarii.
Suprafata agricola este de 585.736 hectare, reprezentand 79% din suprafata totala a judetului Dolj. Suprafata
cultivata in anul 2003 a fost de 453.330 hectare, sectorul privat detinand 95% din totalul acesteia.
Productia animala in anul 2003 a fost: productia de carne - 38.660 tone greutate vie, productia de
lapte - 1.397.826 hl, productia de lana - 466.026 kg, productia de miere - 488.240 kg. Sectorul privat detine
in productia animala 98,2% la carne, 98,9% la lapte, 99,8% la lana si 99,9% la oua.
