The book "Regional business opportunities from Romania and Bulgaria" was achieved by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry "OLTENIA" in collaboration with similar institutions from Montana, Vidin, Vratsa, Mehedinti and Olt, as a main objective of the project "THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL CENTER FOR CROSS-BORDER CO - OPERATION AND BUSINESS REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT ROMANIA - BULGARIA".
    In this framework, it was created a regional cross-border network with the center in Craiova and five points in Montana, Vidin, Vratsa, Drobeta Turnu Severin and Slatina. The activity developed was focused on the multiplication of the business information, legislative information, on the tehnological transfer methods, on the assistance and consultancy for the economic agents, institutions and public and non-government organizations from Romania and Bulgaria.
    This material was conceived as a practical guide to facilitate the bilateral contacts and the knowledge of the local business environments. Also, it aims to find new ways of collaboration between the Romanian and Bulgarian economic agents, to consolidate the existing relationships of cross-border cooperation and to promote the transfer of the information and performant tehnologies.
    The book is structured on six chapters, including a general presentation of the six counties mentioned above, information about approximately 1100 firms, regarding the identification elements of the firms, the fields of activity and the fields of interest on the market of the neighbour country.
    We hope that the business opportunities presented will be capitalized by the representatives of the business environments from these two countries and that they will represent an effective contribution to the economical development of the region, being an important step towards the European market.
